Beka Khitiri is a lawyer with extensive experience in a variety of fields related to both business and law.
Having graduated from both Georgian and foreign universities (Including a master’s degree in International Business Law from the United Kingdom), he has pursued a successful career.
His past experience involves working in the Oil and Gas, Food and Aviation industries, as well as extensive work as a public servant. In the latter capacity, he has contributed significantly to the evolution of the Georgian legal system, authoring or co-drafting a variety of legislative acts.
Beka also pursues a successful academic career, being, a professor at a number of Georgian universities, teaching the subjects closely tied to commercial legal matters.
During his varied, yet successful career, Beka’s major achievements include:
- Providing legal support for the granting of (then) the largest private loan provided by an international financial institution to a Georgian private company;
- The oversight and reevaluation of the BOT and concession contracts of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports;
- Successful creation of the Georgian franchises for Dunkin’ Donuts and Wendy’s;
- Authoring or co-authoring the primary pieces of Georgian legislation in company law, state procurement, agriculture, real estate, etc.
